A cash reward is now being offered for a rare tortoise missing from its Northeast Kingdom home.
Peter Lowry's 110-pound African tortoise vanished the weekend before last and because it was in a closed pen, the tropical animal breeder is confident the animal was stolen.
Lowry is now offering $500 for the pet's safe return.
Vermont State Police are continuing their investigation.
