Mount Mansfield, Vermont - June 16, 2010
The top of Mount Mansfield will soon have a different look. The last-- and the largest-- of the old analog television transmission towers is coming down.
The 300-foot tower owned by WVNY went up in 1968. It sits just under the nose section of the mountain. The antenna has already been removed and the tower will come down over the next couple of weeks.
The old analog towers became obsolete when new digital towers were erected four years ago.
