Burlington, Vermont - October 18, 2010
Police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman in Burlington's old North End.
Authorities arrived at 154 Park street just after 10 a.m. Monday to investigte a body that was found in the back yard of the home. A neighbor said a women in her 50's lives there, but they did not know if she had a roommate. The neighbor also said he did not hear anything unusual prior to police showing up.
The name of the 50-year-old woman has not released pending notification of next of kin. Police say the death is being investigated as a homicide. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday to determine the cause of death.
