In 2007, Carmen Tarleton was attacked in her home by her then estranged husband, Herb Rodgers. He beat her and then doused her with lye. It burned over 90 percent of her body. Rodgers was convicted of maiming and sentenced to at least 30-years in prison.
Carmen has made a remarkable recovery. She's undergone countless surgeries and partially regained her vision. But her life will never be the same. And now she's using her experience to help others weather dark periods in their lives.
