Cpl. Ian Muller laid to rest

Danville, Vermont - March 19, 2011

A fallen marine from Vermont was laid to rest Saturday. Corporal Ian Muller's life was cut short last week in Afghanistan.

Hundreds of family, friends, fellow servicemen and the public packed the Union Baptist Church in Waterford to say their final goodbyes to Marine Corporal Ian Muller. The 22-year-old from North Danville was killed last week by an explosion during a combat mission in Afghanistan.

Following the one hour church service, Muller's casket was placed in a hearse for his final ride home. After the short ride to the Danville Green Cemetery,  those closest to the fallen marine followed the hearse on foot to Corporal Ian Muller's final resting place.

With the snow covered White Mountains in the background, Corporal Ian Muller was buried with full military honors.

Corporal Ian Muller leaves behind a mother, father, five brothers and a sister.
