Body of missing Saranac Lake man found

Saranac Lake, New York - April 11, 2011

A Saranac Lake, N.Y., homeowner made a gruesome discovery this past weekend when a body turned up in their backyard.

Police have identified the remains as those of local man, Gary Sklaryk. The 55-year-old disappeared from his home on Jan. 2. Numerous searches turned up no signs of the missing man.

Police say Sklaryk suffered from a medical condition and that the homeowner discovered the body when the snow melted. An autopsy is scheduled for a later date, but police are not considering his death suspicious.
