Kathy O'Brien wants to go from Survivor Island to Vermont's Capital. But not this year. O'Brien considered a bid for Secretary of State. She got enough signatures to run this year and tells Channel 3 News she seriously considered it up to the last minute of Monday's filing deadline. But due to her Survivor fame and obligations to CBS, she says the timing is not right.
O'Brien says she has always wanted to get into politics and plans to run as a Republican in the next election. In the meantime, she hopes to make public appearances to motivate young voters and raise money for the Governor's re-election campaign.
