BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A Buffalo-area man has been identified as the victim in a fatal city apartment shooting over the weekend. Police say Brandon Cahee of Eggertsville was found in an apartment on the city's east side around early Saturday. Police say his vehicle was found idling in the driveway. No arrests have been reported.
SAUGERTIES, N.Y. (AP) - An upstate man is accused of trashing a Saugerties hotel tavern. Officials say police were called to the Diamond Mills Hotel Saturday night. According to the Times Herald-Record, police arrested 26-year-old Anthony Minieri of New Paltz and charged him with felony criminal mischief.
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Eight Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states, including New York, are petitioning the Environmental Protection Agency to require nine upwind states to cut down air pollution emissions. The petition is aimed at Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - The bold proposal by New York's anti-corruption commission to use public money to fund political campaigns hasn't boosted the likelihood that will happen. New York's Senate Republican conference remains opposed to using taxpayer money to fund statewide campaigns.
