A Middlebury man will pay more than $4-thousand for giving tainted tattoos.
31-year-old Curtis Allen pled guilty to tattooing 6 people this summer without a license. Several of those people developed serious infections and had to be hospitalized.
Addison County State's Attorney John Quinn wanted a stiffer penalty, like jailtime, but says the law on tattoo artists "has no teeth" and Quinn says the legislature should do something about it.
