ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - While Governor David Paterson has blasted Web and other media allegations of womanizing and drug use, he says he does not expect an upcoming story by The New York Times will include the rumors. Paterson says neither issue came up during an interview with the Times today.

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Governor David Paterson is looking at higher taxes and fees to help close the state's growing budget deficit, with revenues coming in short of projections. Paterson has revised his budget proposal in a number of ways - including higher fees if the state OKs grocery store wine sales.

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - While the worst is forecast far south of New York out of a huge coastal storm moving in tonight, relatively snow-starved parts of the state could see some of the white stuff. Forecasts call for up to 6 inches of snow in the Albany area, while the New York City area could get as much as to 13 inches.

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - A decision could come this week on a controversial proposal to use an herbicide for the first time on an Adirondack Park lake. Environmental groups are fighting the plan to treat part of Lake Luzerne to kill off Eurasian watermilfoil.
