Longtime Dartmouth College Director of Sports Information Kathy Phillips, formerly Kathy Slattery, died Wednesday after a brief illness at the age of 55. Kathy was an institution at the press tables and press boxes of the Ivy League for over 30 years. She was an avid golfer, winning 36 club championships in the state of New Hampshire, including 22 at Hanover Country Club. She also won the 1988 New Hampshire Women's State Golf Championship. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 30th at 11 AM at the Rollins Chapel in Hanover. Dartmouth College told us that Kathy was an organ donor and there was a recipient for her kidney's. The transplant surgery went well Wednesday afternoon.
