If viewers wake up Wednesday to discover the digital switch has made their TV go black-- there's a telephone help line to call. The television stations in this area are teaming up to staff a DTV call center Wednesday through Friday.
"{We'll be} taking calls from viewers who have problems. We'll have technical support here to help them from our engineering staff to answer questions about their converter box or antennas or reception issues," explained John King, of Vermont Public Television.
Here's that toll-free phone number: DTV Help Line -- 1-866-424-5483.
The phone bank will be open Wednesday and Thursday from 5 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Friday from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
