Newport, New Hampshire - March 5, 2009
A bizarre arrest in Newport, N.H., Wednesday.
The incident started Tuesday night when police went to 34-year-old Matthew Miller's apartment on Sunapee Street for a noise complaint. Miller reportedly opened the door holding a gun and a baby, so the officer left to avoid a confrontation.
Since Miller has a violent past, police decided to come back Wednesday afternoon dressed as firemen, and pulled the fire alarm to the apartment building. Miller was arrested without incident during the evacuation.
Inside his apartment, police found a guns, rifle scopes, night vision equipment and body armor.
