Jaliek Rainwalker
Rupert, Vermont - November 22, 2007
Authorities looking for a missing 12-year-old boy searched a densely wooded area in southern Vermont, but to no avail.
Police and forest rangers scoured the Merck Forest in Rupert Wednesday. They are looking for Jaliek Rainwalker. Police say a tip lead them to the area, where the boy's adoptive family used to go camping.
Rainwalker has been missing for three weeks after his adoptive father left him with a family member at a home in Greenwich, New York. The police chief there suspects foul play. The boy's adoptive father has refused to take a lie detector test. Police have also subpoenaed his interviews with the media.
