A possible setback for a Springfield man charged with murder who claims he killed in self-defense.
Kyle Bolaski, 24, does not deny twice shooting Vincent Tamburello, 32, at MacKenzie Park in Chester Sunday. He claims Tamburello was chasing him with an ax so the shooting was self-defense.
Prosecutors say the first shot struck Tamburello in the leg and that shot was justified. But the state medical examiner says the second, fatal shot struck the victim in the back. That suggests Tamburello was actually running away from Bolaski, not running at him with the ax.
