Diane Landry grew up near Malletts Bay in Colchester, Vermont.
She graduated from Johnson State College in 2000 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Arts as well as a minor in Business. The love of editing and photography came from her work as the Manager of the College Audio Visual Dept, capturing plays, concerts, and of course graduations. She and a small group of students developed, produced, and broadcast the first ever student talk show for the college "JSC 2 Nite". Airing over ten episodes with guests including the College President, Deans, and local Government Officials.
During the Ice Storm of 1998 Diane witnessed the WCAX crew broadcasting LIVE from her neighbor's yard and decided that's what she wanted to do. Diane began her work her at WCAX in June of 2000. In the past decade, Diane has held several positions in the newsroom including tape editor, station librarian, associate producer, and special projects producer. She played a key role in winning a National Edward R. Murrow award for Best Small Market Newscast in the Country. In September 2005 Johnson State College awarded her the "Rising Star Young Alumni Award."
