Although he is from Maine, Dom Amato has found his home away from home here in the Green Mountains.
After graduating from Lyndon State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Journalism Arts in 2016, Dom quickly found his first job in the WCAX newsroom. He started as the morning photographer in June 2016 but wanted a different challenge. He was given an opportunity to become a reporter and hasn't looked back. After his first TV live shot at the Champlain Valley Fair, Dom started his reporting shift in September 2017. Dom is assigned to the business/economy "beat," reporting on what impacts local stores, restaurants and other businesses in Vermont.
You can catch Dom roaming Church Street trying to find the best sandwiches, or watching the New England Patriots. He enjoys listening to and discovering new music, playing video games and exploring Vermont with his best friends.
