SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) Brewers from across the country gathered in the Green Mountain State this week to talk shop and sample some Vermont beers.
The second annual Beer Marketing & Tourism Conference wrapped up Thursday in South Burlington. Participants attended a beer tasting dinner at the Von Trapp Family Lodge.
Over three days, attendees learned tricks of the trade from Vermont brewers and discussed strategies for beer tourism.
"My biggest takeaway has been learning that there are still parts of the country that are looking how to build their beer tourism initiatives, how to sort of take this growth in the craft brewing industry and turn that into tourism dollars," said Theresa Hollister-Ball, the president and founder of Finger Lakes Beer Trail.
Brewers will take home the tips they learned to use in their own small businesses.
