BENNINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) A judge has signed off on a deal requiring Saint-Gobain to pay $20 million to supply clean water to hundreds of Vermonters.

PFOA was detected in wells in Bennington and North Bennington. The state believes the possible carcinogen came from a former Saint-Gobain plant.

Now, the company is paying to extend municipal water lines to 200 homes and check for further contamination east of Route 7A.
