MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) Plans for Vermont's new state environmental laboratory at Vermont Technical College are moving forward.

The $25 million lab will be located on land next to the VTC's Randolph Center campus. It replaces the state lab in Waterbury damaged by Tropical Storm Irene. Act 250 permits for the project were approved in May and state officials say the bidding documents will be released Tuesday. The bids are due a month from today and construction is tentatively set to start in November.
