College of St. Joseph to stay open

RUTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) Good news for students at the College of St. Joseph-- the school will stay open.

The school's board of trustees voted 13-3 Monday night to keep the school going as it tries to find more ways to revenue.

Over the last two years, the school's president says St. Joseph spent $2 million more than it's brought in.

So to earn more money, officials say they will market a campus building as an event site, seek more grants and alumni donations, create a traumatology institute and open a child care center.
