Driver sought in Poultney hit-and-run

POULTNEY, Vt. (AP) Police in Vermont are searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run collision that injured another driver over the weekend.

The Rutland Herald reports the crash happened around 3 p.m. Saturday on Route 30 in Poultney. State police say a vehicle travelled into oncoming traffic and struck a 2004 Chevy Impala. Authorities say the Impala was forced off the road and struck a tree.

Police say the suspect fled the scene of the crash.

The driver of the Impala was evaluated at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

An investigation continues.
