ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. This weekend, families are enjoying the 25th Vermont International Festival.

Community members are getting an inside look at art, clothing, music, and dance from all around the world.

The event put on by the Vermont Performing Arts League is happening at the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction.

Organizers tell us there are 70 craft and food vendors and more than 40 performing groups.

"From people all over the world who have mainly settled in the Chittenden County area and some people that come from the surrounding states and other countries," said Ben Bergstein, the artistic director of the Vermont International Festival. "What this does is give people a chance to see what other people are like. They get out of their comfort zone."

Organizers say 2,000 kids from different schools across Vermont came to the event Friday. They're expecting close to 6,000 visitors throughout the weekend.

Sunday, the festival's hours are 10am to 5pm.
