BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) Heavy rain mixing with melting snow is expected to cause some major problems leading into this weekend's winter storm.
Some spots have already seen up to an inch and-a-half of rain, and more could be on the horizon.
Ice Jams have been a concern in Enosburg, where countless chunks of ice were in the Tyler Branch of the Missisquoi River. Crews shut down the Boston Post Road as water crept up the river bank. Officials are also watching the Winooski River in Waterbury -- an area all to familiar with flooding.
In New York, crews are tracking an ice jam moving down the Ausable River.
