Eclipse viewing at local libraries

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) Libraries across Vermont, New York and New Hampshire are inviting people to eclipse viewing events Monday where they can share glasses to safely view the solar eclipse. Two-thousand pairs of glasses were distributed to over 1,500 libraries thanks to a national grant.

Barbra Shatara, a librarian, says Fletcher Free Library is one spot offering free use of glasses.

"We're going to have a bunch of tables with information about the solar eclipse so people can understand sort of the mechanics of it. We'll have solar viewers, these sunoculars that we can hand out to people, as well as those traditional things you see around," Shatara said.

Some libraries are also handing out the glasses ahead of time in addition to their Monday viewing events. Here's a rundown of all those libraries:
