Man accused in deadly crash set to change plea

BARRE, Vt. (WCAX) The man accused of killing two elderly twin sisters in a crash is set to change his plea.

The Washington County state's attorney says Shaun Duprey, 32, is set to appear in court Oct. 19. He's accused of killing Teresa White and Verna Cote, both 80, in a crash in Barre in February. Then he was accused of drug possession and other charges while out on conditions back in May.

The state's attorney says those other charges will be brought up by the state in sentencing if and when that happens.

If next week's deal does not happen, we're told the case could go to trial early next year.
