New York voters weigh in on constitutional convention

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) Voters in New York are turning out to weigh in on whether to have a constitutional convention.

If approved, the convention would take place in 2019 and the state's Constitution could be completely rewritten or just amended.

Barbara Gallagher is a retired teacher. She voted no. She says she's worried they could take away her pension.

"Too bad you worked for all the time but we're going to take all that money away from you, and no, you can't go back to work because you're too old to go back to work," Gallagher said.
