Puppies and Christmas Trees in Williston

WILLISTON, Vt. Puppies and Christmas trees...what a combination! Families enjoyed both Saturday at All Breed Rescue's Tree Sale in Williston.

Community members got to pick from 430 trees all from Hardwick.

Some brought their own dogs, and others greeted the ones at the shelter at the fourth annual event.

Organizers say the $35 people pay for a tree all goes back to the pets at the rescue.

"It's a real feel good time to support the rescue and to come get a tree and we enjoy doing it and it's really beneficial for the dogs,” said Drew Berman, who helped organize the sale. "It's really a win-win. You get a beautiful tree and you get to help a good cause."

There's currently 25 dogs up for adoption at the facility, with more on the way and others in foster homes.

The festivities continue Sunday from 9am to 5pm at 491 Industrial Ave.
