STOWE, Vt. (WCAX) Route 100 in Stowe will be closed for two days starting Thursday morning.
Crews will close the highway south of the village near Gold Brook Road to do emergency work on a failed culvert. That work starts Thursday at 9 a.m. Traffic headed north will be detoured on Moscow Road and southbound traffic will be diverted to River Road.
VTrans says they plan to reopen Route 100 in time for the evening commute Friday. And they say the popular tourist route will remain open for the busy holiday weekend.
