Slick road leads to 3-car South Burlington pileup

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) Icy roads led to a couple of cars off the road in South Burlington Tuesday morning.

Police say two cars were trying to avoid hitting each other on Allen Road and instead went off the road, smashing into other objects. Police say it's a good reminder to take winter roads seriously, even if it's not snowing.

"We just want to warn the community to be safe on the roadways. Please slow down. We don't want to see anyone getting hurt," said South Burlington Police Officer Kelsey Monroe.

Police say one person had minor injuries.
