Town highway plow hit by train

ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (WCAX) A freight train collided with a town highway truck in St. Johnsbury.

It happened by the town hall just after 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon. According to the St. Johnsbury Fire Department, the wing plow on the highway truck was clipped by the Vermont Railway freighter as it headed north on the tracks. The truck was pushed into the back staircase of the town hall causing some damage to the building. The driver of the truck was not injured.
