UVM won't expel student who stole Black Lives Matter flag

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) The student who stole a Black Lives Matter flag from the University of Vermont campus will not get kicked out of school.

The flag was stolen last fall and the school found the student who did it.

President Tom Sullivan says that student has been disciplined, but won't be expelled. Sullivan acknowledged the school still has work to do on racial justice issues.
