Underrepresentation of women in high-wage jobs

By  |

RANDOLPH, Vt. (WCAX) In Vermont, two-thirds of minimum-wage workers are women.

More than a dozen young women will gather in Randolph Wednesday to learn new trades. It's all part of Women's Career Challenge Day and it gives girls the opportunity to try careers that otherwise might not be on their radar.

Our Eva McKend caught up with Jen Roberts from Vermont Works for Women to learn more about why women continue to be underrepresented in certain fields. Watch the video for the full interview.

Women's Career Challenge Day takes place Wednesday at the Randolph Technical Center.
