MONTEPLIER, Vt. (WCAX) Vermont's unemployment rate dropped again slightly last month.
The labor department pegs the seasonally adjusted statewide jobless rate for September at 2.9 percent, the lowest in over a decade. The numbers dropped one-tenth of a point from August and are overall the seventh lowest in the country. The national rate in September was 4.2 percent.
Officials say the state's labor market continues to be very tight and that employers are looking for workers at all levels.
