Vermont joins opposition to Trump birth control restrictions

MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) Vermont's Attorney General has joined a multistate effort to oppose rolling back the contraception coverage mandate.

TJ Donovan has joined 19 attorneys generals who are against the Trump administration's decision to change a requirement under the Affordable Care Act for employers to include birth control coverage in their health insurance plans.

The Trump ruling would authorize any employer with a religious or moral objection to block their employees from receiving health insurance coverage for contraceptives.
