Warmer temps celebrated at this year's Mardi Gras parade

BURLINGTON, Vt Crowds lined the sidewalk for the 23rd annual Magic Hat Mardi Gras parade.

The event raises money for the Vermont Foodbank. Beads were thrown from the various floats decorated by businesses throughout the region. Burlington's newly re-elected mayor also got into the action at the family friendly event.

"We have come here for every year. I think we may have missed one Mardi Gras. Brought our son and it's a lot of fun, and we just have a good time," said Elliot Putnam of Shelburne.

"She keeps me warm, little heater" said Richard Kaech of Charlotte.

People who attended the parade said it was a warmer this year than in the past.
