What's bringing people to New Hampshire farmers markets?

CONCORD, N.H. (WCAX) We're learning more about what brings people to farmers markets in our region.

Surveys from the University of New Hampshire show 84 percent of the 500 people they asked went to markets in the Granite State to either support local businesses or buy good quality products.

Quality, variety, market hours and location were key draws. The people who said they hadn't been to a market said they either didn't have one near them or didn't know about one.

Another survey found 40 percent of the almost 400 people asked went to a farmers market once a week.
