Wildlife Watch: Group trains landowners to improve habitat

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) A Vergennes nonprofit group is helping train landowners in how to improve habitat for wildlife on their property.

Through workshops and other training, Vermont Coverts is hoping to enlist landowners to maintain and enhance diverse wildlife habitat and healthy ecosystems.

Eva McKend spoke with the group's Lisa Sausville about their mission and training opportunities.

There are two Coverts Cooperator Training sessions coming up. One in mid-May in Starksboro and another in Hydeville in September. Go to the group's website for more information.
