SHELBURNE, Vt. (WCAX) It was a packed crowd at Champlain Lanes in Shelburne for the high school bowling individual state championships Saturday morning.
Randolph's Kolby Carpenter had the top score through the first round, a three game average just more then 227.
But Carpenter was upset in the round of 16 by Burlington's Heather Lamore.
Reese Meunier of Essex entered the round of 16 as the 13 seed. He ended up fourth overall.
South Burlington's Aaron Murikami had a strong showing, he entered the final four as the second seed and ended up third overall.
Fairhaven's Jarrod Hayes was the top seed heading into the final four. He finished as the state runner up by just 2 points.
Hartford's Dylan Crowler was the 14 seed after the first round, but he ended up winning five straight head to head matches to win the individual state championship.
The team finals are next weekend in Barre.
