Lamb Out Indefinitely for Hoop Cats

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) The UVM men's basketball team will be without its leading scorer for the foreseeable future. Anthony Lamb suffered a foot injury Thursday in practice and is out indefinitely.

Lamb is feared to have fractured his foot, which would likely keep him out long term, but the extent of the injury is unclear as of yet according to a source within the program.

Vermont Head Coach John Becker issued a statement to WCAX anchor and reporter Scott Fleishman this evening, saying, "It is an unfortunate injury for Anthony and we are most concerned with him returning healthy at some point. For our team, it's next man up. Our goals and expectations for our season don't change. We're excited to start league play next week and look forward to the challenge."

UVM plays at Harvard Tuesday evening before opening America East play at UMass-Lowell on Thursday.
