BARRE, Vt. -- History was made on the opening night of the high school girls basketball semifinals Monday night at the Barre Auditorium.
In the Division Four semis, eighth seed Blue Mountain knocked off number five Arlington 41-31 and in doing so became the first eight seed ever to reach the D-4 title game.
In the Division Two semis, top seed Fair Haven outlasted number five Randolph in a back and forth affair. The Slaters advanced to the D-2 championship game for the second time in three years.
