NEW HAMPTON, N.H. (AP) - A paroled child-killer's presence in the central New Hampshire town of New Hampton continues to cause concern.
The selectmen plan a special meeting Monday to discuss what they legally can and cannot do and say about 61-year-old Raymond Guay, who has been living with a host family since May.
Guay spent 36 years in prison for murdering a 12-year-old in the 1970s in Nashua.
Paul Tierney - head of the New Hampton selectmen - says other residents feel Guay has served his sentence and deserves another chance. He is closely supervised.
In addition to the Monday afternoon meeting in New Hampton, Guay was expected to be discussed at a selectmen's meeting Monday night in neighboring Ashland.
