Cochran Ski Swap This Weekend

Richmond, Vermont - November 7, 2009

For at least twenty years the Cochran family's ski area in Richmond has held a very popular ski swap.

And hundreds of people are turning out for it this weekend. Good ski equipment can get expensive, and a lot of this gear can be had for less. Some of it is donated, some is sold by vendors or on consignment.

"This event here helps to sponsor the ski club primarily at Cochran's ski area, and also helps to support the ski area itself, a non-profit organization. And really, the ideal of the ski area and the Cochran family has been promoting young skiers and teaching young kids how to ski," said Cochran Ski Club President Matt Rand.

The ski sale continues on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Camel's Hump Middle School in Richmond.
