President Obama has appointed a former Vermont woman to the Federal Trade Commission.

Julie Brill was a Vermont Assistant Attorney General. She spent more than 20 years heading the AG's Consumer Affairs and Anti-Trust Division before leaving for a similar job in North Carolina.
