Ticonderoga ferry open again

Ticonderoga, New York - December 20, 2009

The Ticonderoga ferry is back on the job again, helping those stuck by the bridge closure.

The ferry between Ticonderoga and Shoreham stopped running Thursday because ice floes and gusting winds. Officials say it was unsafe to operate. But improved conditions allowed the ferry to operate Sunday, and if the weather cooperates, the company plans to operate again on its regular schedule Monday.
