Warrant issued for homicide victim's estranged husband

St. Johnsbury, Vermont - December 29, 2009

A Lyndon man is now charged with homicide following an attack on his estranged wife.

The medical examiner says Anna Berwick, 45, of St. Johnsbury, was stabbed to death. Police say Benjamin Berwick, 49, attacked her outside the Green Mountain Mall in St. Johnsbury Monday morning, and then shot himself. Benjamin Berwick is in stable condition at Dartmouth Hitchcock and is waiting for extradition back to Vermont to face the homicide charge.
