WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont woman who worked as an administrative assistant for a loan fund and an economic development company has been accused of taking nearly $43,000 from the organizations.
Jill Lepisko, 42, has been arrested on multiple counts of embezzlement, forgery and false pretenses. She is scheduled to appear in Windsor County District Court on June 8.
Police allege Lepisko, who was arrested Thursday, stole the money from the Connecticut River Valley Revolving Loan Fund and the Green Mountain Economic Development Corp.
