BURLINGTON, Vt. -- The 25th Jeff Stone Memorial Tennis Tournament has come and gone at Burlington Tennis Club, and among the talent playing over the weekend was former French Open doubles champion Fred McNair. The Washington D.C. native spent a long career on the world tour playing with the likes of Arthur Ashe and Jimmy Connors.
"They have all these stories so it's kind of cool to hear them talk about it," says defending Jeff Stone singles champion Christo Schultz. "It's like I'm kind of living what they're talking about right now, so I enjoy being around them and just being in that atmosphere."
Schultz, a Sudbury, Mass. native and New England's top-ranked 18-and-under male player, is headed to Harvard in the fall where he will play on the Crimson's tennis team.
