Scott Waterman

Scott Waterman is our Assignment Manager and Special Projects Producer. Scott grew up watching Richard Gallagher, Tony Adams, and Stuart Hall at the dinner table in Shelburne.  A graduate of Champlain College, Scott began his television career at WVNY-TV in 1992. Two years later, the dream of joining WCAX became a reality. A number of AP awards for videography followed, as well as a third place finish for the NPPA Photographer of the Year award in 1998. In 2010, after 16 years behind the camera Scott moved to handling future and daily assignments for reporters and photographers.

Scott lives in Burlington with his wife, Shelly, and two daughters. In 2002, Scott and Shelly welcomed their first daughter, Hannah. In 2004, Hannah was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome, a developmental disorder affecting nearly only girls. Since that discovery, the Waterman family has committed itself to raising awareness and funds in the effort to cure Rett Syndrome, and with the addition of their second daughter Hadley, continue that effort today.
