Molly Smith

Molly Smith joined the WCAX News team in the fall of 2009 after graduating from Ohio University with a degree in Broadcasting.

She started out reporting in our Rutland news bureau. She spent one and a half years telling stories about Rutland's resiliency in the recession. From extreme weather, to police department scandals, to heartfelt features, she honed her skills in her hometown.

She then spent 7 months reporting in Burlington for the 11 p.m. news and now is contributing to the morning broadcast. She is enterprising social media segments and news vault video, taking Vermonters back in time to that day in history, as well as breaking news and having a little fun, too!

When she is out of the office, Molly enjoys learning her way around a gluten-free kitchen, snowboarding and making any excuse to be around farm animals.

If you have a story idea, or question she would love to hear from you-- email Molly at msmith@wcax.com.
