Molly Smith joined the WCAX News team in the fall of 2009 after graduating from Ohio University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Molly started out reporting in our Rutland news bureau. She spent a year-and-a-half telling stories about Rutland's resiliency in the recession. From extreme weather, to police department scandals, to heartfelt features, she honed her skills in her hometown.
She then spent 7 months reporting in Burlington for the 11 p.m. News, but now she's a morning person.
Molly joined the morning news anchor team in October 2011. She is enterprising social media segments, learning new recipes from Vermont's world-renowned chefs and having a little fun with her co-anchors.
Her favorite assignments are visiting Vermont farms and understanding their daily struggles. She is also slightly social media obsessed. Find her on Facebook and Twitter!
When Molly's not behind the anchor desk she's snowboarding, riding her bike, trying out new restaurants and trying to maintain a gluten-free lifestyle.
